The Council of Advice has published its 2024 Annual Report and presented it to His Excellency the Governor of St. Maarten Mr. Ajamu G. Baly, The president of Parliament Mrs. Sara Wescott- Williams and the Prime Minister Dr. Luc Mercelina.
A new item in this year’s report is the disclosure of cases where members recused themselves from decision-making due to potential or perceived conflicts of interest. In reporting year 2024 there were no recusals.
With this additional information the Council aims to better illustrate how its rules of conduct are applied in practice.”
